When you once there you will never have enough of those views.

I had this luck to be there just for a week but in the colourful time of an autumn.

Of course I couldn’t visit and photograph all the famous and less famous location. I had to decide and choose because of limited amount of sunrises and sunsets.

This is the small foretaste of a trip

Everywhere there were no parking problems, but remember it was end of October, no summer, no high season and the hours when we arrived were as well either very early or very late.

Very early you can of course expect some photographers, very late some as well.
But this experience in the Dolomites shows me that it was acceptably. But as well unfortunatelly absurd.

Some more demanding section weren't so full. Like the Alpe di Siusi. The way there is flat but quite long. Anyway I registered a lot of photographers but the area there is big enough to work peacefully.

Of course full are Lago di Braies, Antorno, Misurina. Difficult is Antorno. Very thight. People have to mix themselves somehow to get the image to let the instangramers take their social media yellow raincoat photo etc.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Easy, flat way. Almost highway. But to get to the Rifiugio from the parking lot you will need ca. 2 hours. And in the evening we spottted some people and night no one. But the Rifugio was already closed. That's a factor for sure.

And of course Val di Funes. Overcrowded. With the fence and one small view point around the church of Ranui.

Generally all this looks like Olympic Games. If your goal there ist to photograph. Everybody is running with a camera from point to point, to be the first before the others come. But it is hard not to give in to temptetion and not to have all this in your portfolio.

To hike, to enjoy the nature, to admire this is a faboulus place
